Specifically, taco shops. Nothing hits like San Diego taco shop. They are not the same anywhere else. A few recommendations: Vallarta Express where the quesa burrito is a MUST and Tacos el Galoso where the list of taco options is exceptional. Carne asada is a good starting point, and if you have a sweet tooth, Lorena's favorite beverage from childhood is Orange Bang! which is available at the fountain. Both have multiple locations.
Day trip to Mexico
