We highly recommend planning a boat tour along the coast, this was one of our favorite days! There are several group and private boat tours available but they can fill up fast so be sure to book reservations in advance. Take the ferry from Sorrento to Capri and explore this beautiful island. Be sure to try the Ravioli alla Caprese and ride the Monte Solaro chairlift to take in the sights.
Make a reservation at an Italian Beach Club for a day of relaxing in the sun and swimming. Local Beach Clubs: Leonelli's Beach, Peter's Beach, Bagni Salvatore Bar, and Marameo Beach Club. Advance reservations are recommended for September.
Book a boat tour to the Blue Grotto! This is also part of many full-day boat tours from Sorrento.
Book a tour by boat or car to explore the picturesque towns along the Amalfi Coast including Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello. You can also take a ferry to Positano from Sorrento.
Don't leave Sorrento without tasting the limoncello (and other flavors)! There are many shops in town that offer tastings or you can book a more authentic experience at places like I Giardini di Cataldo, Limonoro, Il Convento, and Frantoio Gargiulo.
Marina Grande in Sorrento is a charming, historic fishing village known for its colorful houses, authentic atmosphere, waterfront seafood restaurants, and small beach, offering a picturesque escape from the main town while still being accessible by a 15-minute walk (downhill and then back up on cobblestone streets) or bus from the center, featuring boat rentals, sunbathing spots, and stunning views of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. Alternatively, local buses and taxis are available.
