Lora & Tim’s Wedding

FAQs

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? (It's July 11th!)

Answer

We kindly ask that you RSVP as soon as your plans are confirmed, and no later than July 11th. We understand that international travel requires thoughtful planning, especially given the recent fluctuations in airfare. If you have any concerns about RSVP timing, please feel free to reach out to Lora or Tim. We completely understand if you’re unable to join us, your love and support mean so much to us, and we can’t wait to celebrate together in whatever way possible.

Question

Do you have a hotel room block?

Answer

No, we do not have a room block reserved. We recommend booking your hotel or rental accommodations as soon as possible as availability in Sorrento is limited. A list of hotels is included under the "Travel & Hotels" section of our website or you can simply search online for available accommodations using Expedia.com, Hotels.com, or Airbnb, VRBO, or Casamundo.

Question

What is the attire for the Welcome Event on Thursday?

Answer

Italian Summer Chic! For this outdoor waterfront celebration, think polished resort wear. Something you'd wear for a nice dinner out on the Amalfi Coast. Kindly avoid overly casual attire such as denim, athletic wear, or beach flip flops - you'll thank us after walking down to the Marina Grand on cobblestones! If you love a good theme like we do, feel free to dress in fun print and solid Mediterranean hues: greens, yellows, oranges, reds, blues, and neutrals.

Question

What is the attire for the Wedding Ceremony & Reception on Friday?

Answer

The attire for our wedding is formal. Suits are recommended for gentlemen, with long or midi-length cocktail or formal dresses for ladies. Weather permitting, we will be outside for the wedding festivities. Dinner is on the grass so be mindful of heels.

Question

How do I get to Villa Zagara?

Answer

Villa Zagara is conveniently located within walking distance of many hotels in central Sorrento. For those arriving by taxi, please note that the villa sits along a narrow street—while some taxis are able to reach the entrance, others may drop guests a short distance away, followed by a brief walk. Vico Strettola S. Vincenzo, 3, 80067

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

No, your presence at our wedding is gift enough!

Question

What is the weather like in Sorrento?

Answer

At the end of September, Sorrento will be warm and may be a bit humid at times. Average daytime highs are 75°-80° with lows in the evening of 60°-67°. The water will be warm enough for swimming so pack your bathing suits!

Question

Are children invited to the wedding?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we have chosen to make our wedding day an adults-only celebration. We hope this allows everyone to relax and fully enjoy the evening with us. Local childcare options are available through many hotels and rental villas. We understand this may not be feasible for all and truly appreciate your understanding.

Question

Do I need special plugs in Italy?

Answer

Yes, you will need an adaptor to plug your devices into while in Italy. Amazon and sometimes stores like Target/Walmart sell travel plugs for Italy. Depending on the type of device, you may also need a voltage adaptor - things like electric razors and hair dryers, but most hotels have those in the rooms - double check if you're not sure. We also recommend packing a few portable cell phone chargers and checking with your cell phone provider about international travel plans so you have coverage while traveling.
