Cocktail attire: Dress up for a fun, semi-formal evening, but be sure to wear comfortable shoes for dancing. Think 'dress to impress' with suits or dress pants for him and cocktail dresses or dressy separates for her—polished, festive, and ready to celebrate!
Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outside. Then we will move inside for the cocktail hour and reception.
At the end of September, expect warm days and cooler nights, with average highs dropping from the low 80s to the low 70s and lows settling from the low 60s down to the upper 50s, though it is still humid and can feel quite warm. Sometimes even 90-degree days can still occur.
Yes! We have a room block at the Renaissance Ross Bridge Resort, which is our home hotel and the location of all of our wedding events. This room block can be expanded, if needed, to accommodate more guests as long as space remains available. Check in at Ross Bridge is at 4pm. While we only have the one room block at Ross Bridge, there are other nearby alternative hotels within uber or taxi distance. Room block link for Ross Bridge: https://app.marriott.com/reslink?id=1763590390005&key=GRP&app=resvlink The room block cut off date is August 28th, 2026, but we recommend booking as soon as possible.
Book your hotel as soon as you know your travel plans! The Saturday of the wedding is also the same day as a UA home football game in Tuscaloosa. This will affect hotel availability and pricing, and some hotels have been known to sell out even as far away as Birmingham. So to be safe we recommend booking a room as soon as you know you are coming.
Thankfully, Ross Bridge has plenty of free self parking, and all events will be located in one location. So parking should not be a concern.
The ceremony begins at 5pm, and guests can enter the ceremony space 30 minutes prior to start. Though if you happen to arrive early, there are other spaces within the hotel itself to wait until the ceremony begins. If you are staying at Renaissance Ross Bridge Resort, then check in for your hotel room is at 4pm. Ross Bridge may be able to accommodate earlier check in if asked, but this is not a guarantee.
Yes! There will be an open bar for guests to enjoy throughout cocktail hour and the reception.
We will be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by multiple food stations for dinner at the reception. We will do our best to accommodate a wide range of dietary restrictions and make sure food is appropriately labeled.
We will invite you to RSVP online here once we are closer to the date and after official invitations have been sent out. So stay tuned!
Unfortunately, as much as we’d love to invite all of our friends’ children, we can only accommodate our close family children. We hope that you will understand this decision and that you will still be able to join us on our special day.
