Do I need to test for COVID-19 before or after traveling to DR?

Answer

Please research your country’s specific travel/COVID-19 requirements. Below is a link to check the current status for US citizens traveling to DR. https://do.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/covid-19-information/ The Dominican Republic currently does not require a negative test for US citizens to enter. However, we strongly recommend that you test before traveling to ensure you are not positive. The US does require a negative test one day before returning from DR. Antigen/rapid tests are an acceptable testing method. The Hard Rock does provide testing at the hotel and will schedule your test when you check in. Please note that each antigen test is $50 and is most likely not included due to discounted room rate/website.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Please kindly note that while children are more than welcome to come for the weekend, the wedding ceremony and reception is adult-only. The Hard Rock Hotel & Resort does provide nanny services.

Question

What days should I plan to be there?

Answer

You can come for as long or as little as you'd like! We will be holding a welcome event on Friday evening if your travel plans bring you in on Friday and the wedding ceremony and reception is Sunday. If you'd like to make a longer vacation out of this, the group discounted rates at the Hard Rock are also available for a few days before and after the wedding weekend.

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes, you will need a valid passport to travel to and from the Dominican Republic. Please note that it is currently taking up to 18 weeks to renew a passport or apply for a new passport. Please ensure to submit your application timely, if needed.
