We can't wait to share our special day with you!

The first time we met, Matthew was standing sweetly at the entrance of Carruth Wine Cellars in Solana Beach. I remember glancing over at him and thinking, Oh, wow, he’s cute and his energy is MAGNETIC. When we exchanged smiles, I thought, how awesome would it be if he was the one? Well, it turns out he IS! We started talking, and the sparks were flying. After a wine tasting, we took a stroll on the beach. We immediately held hands as if we’d known each other for years. As we got to Moonlight beach, the waves were glowing magnificently. There was a natural fireworks show in the water caused by the bioluminescent plankton. As we got to my car, he carried me and gracefully put me into the driver’s seat. This was just the beginning of our incredible journey together.

Q. Who made the first move? How? Matt made the first move on "Hinge" when he responded to my statement of wanting to travel the world. Matt: “There’s not time like the present, where are you headed?” Lauren: “I’m actually in London as we speak!” Matthew: “I was just in Europe a few months ago, you and your sister should definitely check out Crown pub.” Lauren: “Will do.” Matthew: “When are you back?” Lauren: “Next Sunday.” Matthew: “Text me when you’re home and we’ll do something fun.” Lauren: (On the airplane home) “Hey, what are you doing tomorrow? I get back at midnight.” Matthew: “Seeing you.” Q. Who's going to take out the trash? Whoever happens to be closer to the trash :) Q. What was your most memorable date? Camping in San Diego. Q. What's your favorite activity together? Skiing & Snowboarding in the mountains! Q. Where are you going for your honeymoon? Vietnam & Thailand, maybe more. Q. What's the best meal you have eaten together? On Oahu, we shared a magical brunch of fresh poke, oysters, sushi, sashimi, fresh croissants, mahi-mahi, prime-rib, eggs Benedict, creamy bread pudding, hand-made ice cream, & more! Q. What's the most memorable trip you have taken together? 45 day road trip right in the middle of COVID in our 4-Runner “Clarkson”. Las Vegas —> Grand Canyon —> Flagstaff —> Santa Fe —> Taos —> Colorado San Dunes —> Durango —> Gunnison —> Ouray —> Telluride —> Crested Butte —> Boulder —> Denver —> Steamboat —> Salt Lake City —> Lake Tahoe Q. We're on the same page about What's important to us. And that's spending time with the people we love most. (You all!) Q. A life goal of ours Build a Sprinter van and live in another country! Q.
