The Advanced Running Project had Wednesday and Saturday group runs for people of all levels of fitness. Irene joined the group runs in 2018 when she moved to Dayton, and Josh joined in 2019. What started as a growing friendship through running and a desire for personal excellence in the sport became more at the beginning of 2020, when Irene, after consulting her roommate, asked Josh on a date to the movies. The movie wasn't good, but they still enjoyed themselves enough to go on several more dates… and several more runs. Right as Irene and Josh became a couple in March 2020, the universe tested their bond with the pandemic and everything that came with it, including job loss. Having survived that and making it to the other side even stronger proved that their relationship was meant to last. The last few years have been filled with incredible times together, from the everyday life shared to the opportunities taken to travel the country. Irene & Josh cannot wait to solidify their relationship through marriage and create more opportunities for adventure together, almost six years to the date of their first kiss.
