Natalie and Joshua's story began in the summer of 2014 at Christ Fellowship’s annual Mission Camp. Natalie was just 13, and Joshua was 14 at the time. When they first became friends, Joshua was immediately intrigued by Natalie’s beauty and love for the Lord. Joshua made the decision to tell Natalie he was interested in her, but Natalie wasn’t yet on the same level. The two remained friends for quite some time and would see each other occasionally at church. Following many nights of small groups, Sunday morning services, and cross country meets, Natalie began looking forward to seeing Joshua. In 2017, they began seeing each other outside of church, and about a year later, they both found themselves at Coral Reef High School taking the SATs on the same Saturday morning. It was then that Natalie realized she had feelings for Joshua. It took some encouragement and convincing from Natalie’s close friends, but she finally decided to express her feelings to him. Of course, Joshua had felt the same way about Natalie and had been waiting for her to come around. They officially began dating on November 12th, 2018 and continued to grow their relationship throughout high school. Joshua graduated from Florida Christian School and Natalie graduated from Coral Reef High School in 2019. They both attended Florida State University, and during their four years together as Noles, they grew stronger as individuals and as a couple. They supported each other through many ups and downs, and formed a community that supported them as well. Natalie worked at obtaining a Bachelor’s of Science in Communication Science Disorders and Joshua worked at obtaining a Bachelor’s of Science in Biochemistry with a Minor in Biology and Mathematics. Joshua knew the time was coming for them to take the next step together in their relationship. He found the perfect engagement ring for Natalie with the help of his family. He managed to keep the ring a secret until the spring break of their undergraduate senior year, when he popped the question. It was the week of March 13th, and Natalie and Josh took a trip to Charleston, South Carolina, along with some of their close friends from college. Josh had the morning all planned to propose to Natalie as the sun rose over a nearby beach. While it didn’t go exactly as planned, there couldn’t have been a more perfect way for Natalie and Joshua to become engaged. Natalie said yes with elation and there were many tears of joy from the both of them and their friends who witnessed the beautiful moment. During their engagement, Natalie and Joshua graduated from Florida State University and have been living back home in Miami. They are enjoying planning their wedding day and look forward to celebrating in Cap Cana, Dominican Republic with a small group of their close family and friends.
