We're Getting Married!

His: I first met Shelby when Bryan, my then manager now Best Man, had asked me to train the white shirt aka the newbie. We quickly bonded at work over our shared love for Taco Bell and Baja Blast. I even brought Shelby a can of it on my day off one day. Day after day, I was blown away by how outgoing and easy to talk to she was. I remember hanging out in the parking lot after work talking for hours after each shift. After I invited Shelby to come to a Linkin Park concert with me and my sister is when I realized I might want to go ask this incredibly intelligent and beautiful woman to go steady with me. And corny old me asked just like that on the porch in front of her house. Lucky me, she said yes. And 7 years later, she said yes again. Hers: It's June 2014. Shelby sat at a computer in the office learning something boring with the muffled sounds of retail tunes leaking through the closed door across the room. Within minutes of starting work, the music burst through the door followed by a blue-eyed boy carrying headphones. Without even knowing her name, Tim looked at her and said "do these look blue to you?" holding out the box for her to inspect. A fierce debate over the color of headphones sparked the beginning of a fun friendship between them. Tim even came in on his day off one time and brought Shelby a Baja Blast which made her day. Months passed, lunch breaks were taken together, long conversations standing in the parking lot after work became a frequent tradition, but Shelby's summer home from college began to dwindle. Fast forward, it was Shelby's last week home in NJ before heading back to DC. Tim had talked to her coworkers to rearrange her schedule to have a night off with him for a Linkin Park concert. After a pretty romantic emo night, they sat under a clear starry sky on the bench outside of Shelby's House where Tim asked, and this is a direct quote if Shelby "wanted to go steady" with him. And the rest is history.
