The Proposal

How We Met

Even after graffitiing each other's 7th grade yearbooks -- yes, Logan plastered his home phone number across the pages of Molly's book-- and sneaking out in the middle of the night to 'kiss' under the moonlight on Sawmill-- We both knew we needed more time to grow up and go through high school and college before it was the right time for us. Fast forward many years, Logan got a little more discreet by keeping an eye on Molly's social media account. He sprang into action when he realized there were less photos showing up with a boyfriend and swooped in. After several smooth lines, he convinced Molly to get a drink with him next time she was in town. Time literally stood still at Cracker Barrel (NOT THE CHAIN!) that night. We knew we were both in trouble and were going to fall quickly after that first date and became inseparable ever since (both out of force- hi, COVID- and out of desire).

The Proposal

8.3.23

After surviving a pandemic and the many trials and tribulations that come with newer relationships, Molly and Logan grew into an incredible team filled with love. Eventually, roles reversed and Molly started being the pushy one mentioning how empty that ring finger of hers felt. Logan caved not too too long after that. While on a trip out to Big Sky, Montana - Logan immediately sprung into action with a plan B as the weather radar wasn't looking so bright and cheery for his intended mountain bike proposal ride. After scoring matching raincoats (coincidentally), he took Molly on a special waterfall trail to explore (one of their favorite things to do together). He found a private side path where no other hikers were in sight.. the perfect spot to get right to it and pop the question! He even got to sneakily capture it all on his go-pro by taking 'vacation footage' all along the way. It was perfect. There is now a small plaque that will live forever on the bridge at the beginning of this path to commemorate this special day.. if you are ever out at Ousel Fall Trails in Big Sky, we highly recommend taking a peek!
