Question

Where will the ceremony be held?

Answer

The ceremony, dinner, and reception will be held on the Dogwood Farms property. The ceremony will be outdoors so please dress for the weather. The dinner will be outdoors in a shaded tent. The reception will be held in an air-conditioned barn. There will be restrooms on the property for our guests as well as ample parking.

Where should I RSVP?

Answer

There is a link on this website to RSVP to. We know plans can change but would appreciate it if you could RSVP by July 2023 to ensure that we have enough food and drinks to accompany everyone.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We have tried to be very generous when adding our friends and family to the guest list, but there is unfortunately a maximum occupancy at the venue. With that being said, when you click the link to RSVP everyone in your party will be listed. If you do not see a name, unfortunately, he/she was unable to be added to the list. We would love for all of our family and friends to be in attendance and hope that you understand the hard choices we had to make.

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

We want our guests to be comfortable, but still, ask them to wear appropriate clothing to the wedding. We ask that the family wear semi-formal clothing since they will be in the wedding photos. Wear comfortable shoes as we hope to see everyone on the dance floor!

What time should I arrive to the wedding?

Answer

We ask our guests to show up at least 20 minutes before the ceremony starts to make sure that you are able to park and find a seat before the ceremony begins. While you may want to arrive earlier, we ask that you not arrive more than 30 minutes early to make sure that neither the Bride nor Groom are seen before the wedding as we will be taking some photos before the ceremony begins.

How long will the wedding last?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will begin at 4 pm. After the ceremony, the Bride and Groom will take pictures together while guests move to the outdoor patio to snack. Dinner will be around 5:30 pm, and the reception will follow after. We encourage our guests to stay as long as they would like, but the reception will conclude at 10 pm. A "send-off" will occur before 10 pm to make sure that no body feels left out or misses it.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that phones and electronics be turned off during the ceremony. We ensure that everyone will get a picture with both Bride and Groom during the reception and professional photos during the ceremony will be posted for everyone to see. We want to make sure that everyone is present in the moment and does not interfere with the paid photographers.

Question

Do I need to get a babysitter?

Answer

Alyx would love to have friends to play with at the wedding. If you do not feel comfortable bringing your children, you are welcome to find a babysitter, but it is not required. We will have toys and coloring sheets for the little ones.
