November 2019 is where it all started. Countless hours were spent on the couch talking about our past, present, and hopes for our future. Little did we know that we were looking at our future at that very moment. A future my younger self couldn't have even dreamed of. As many of you know Logan and I were blessed with a big surprise due in November of 2020. While most couples would break under this pressure, Logan and I grew stronger and closer. I remember the night we found out, we cried and hugged all night. He told me, "I don't know what I'm doing, but we will figure it out together," and we did. I will never forget when we first heard Alyx's heartbeat and the look in Logan's eyes. It was pure love and freight all in one. To see how far we have come since then is overwhelming. On July 29, 2022, Logan and I were on the annual Wells' family beach trip to Mexico Beach. We had spent the week making so many beautiful memories, and it was our last night there. We decided to take family pictures with Logan's sister and brother-in-law to use for family Christmas presents. Mom and dad were changing Alyx into his outfit, while we started taking a few photos. We were walking up and down the beach taking photos when we turned around. I had made a joke about why Alyx was in a black T-shirt and not the outfit we had planned. Then I read the shirt, and everything changed. "Mommy, will you marry Daddy?" I turned around and Logan was on his knee and it felt like we were the only ones on the beach. I cried "Yes!" of course. I had dreamt about marrying Logan for a long time, but never thought he would actually ask me. If you know us, you know I asked him almost daily when he was going to propose. Our love story might be a little different, but there is nothing I would change about it. Logan and I have proved that love conquers all. Through all the challenges we have faced, we have not let them tear us apart, but grew stronger because of them. Every day I think to myself "I can't love him any more than I already do", but then the next day comes and I do. I cannot wait to walk down the aisle and marry my best friend. Logan, I love you! Here’s to our forever! :)
Alli and I have had a long journey. When we first started dating, I took her to meet my sister and brother-in-law at a hockey game. She was so excited until I told her, "I like you, but if my sister doesn't you are out. By the way, she hasn't liked any of my past girlfriends so good luck." Surprisingly, she said she liked her, so I knew this was something special. When I first met Alli, she told me how much she loved outdoor activities. So I planned a date at the Little Grand Canyon. Long story short she lied. I have pictures of her falling off a tree to prove it. We love each other deeply and have had a few surprises on the way. One including our son, Alyx. He was a gift I never knew I needed. Through him, I have seen how amazing a mother and partner Alli is in helping shape both our lives for the better. Even though our story isn't traditional it is ours. There is not one thing I would change, because everything we have overcome has helped us grow closer together. I know now that I get to spend every day right where I belong, next to my best friend and our beautiful son.
