They say timing is everything, but in our case, distance seemed to play a role too. Kyle and Morgan officially met in Austin, Texas in 2021, nearly 2,000 miles away from where their story had actually been unfolding for years. Kyle moved to Austin in August 2020, and Morgan in March 2021, both unknowingly leaving behind the same city: Boston. As it turns out, this was far from their first almost-meeting. Before Austin, they had spent nearly eight years unknowingly orbiting one another. They lived only blocks apart throughout college, frequented the same Boston bars, shared mutual friends, and freshman year, even lived in the very same dorm building just one floor apart. Kyle had even DJ’d parties Morgan attended and, according to him, remembered “a blonde girl” who had caught his eye long before they ever officially met. If there were ever a case for the invisible string theory, this might be it. Somehow, after years of being within a mile or two of each other, life waited until they were in a completely different state to finally bring them together. What started in Austin quickly became the easiest and most meaningful chapter of both of their lives filled with shared adventures, plenty of laughter, and eventually, the addition of their golden retriever, Bailey, who very quickly became the center of their world (and arguably the real love story here). In August 2025, Kyle asked Morgan to spend forever with him during a rooftop proposal in Manhattan, surrounded by their closest family and friends. Now, they can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter of their story in the Tuscan rolling hills in August 2027, this time with everyone they love in one place, exactly where they’re meant to be.
