Travel Note
Our ceremony and dinner reception sites are a bit further distance than a typical wedding, so we want you to be aware of as many details as possible as you make your plans. If you are traveling from out-of-state and arriving before the day of the wedding, you may want to consider booking a hotel in Lansing for 12/30 (and any previous dates) and a hotel in Frankenmuth for 12/31 and beyond. Frankenmuth Hotel Details: A) New Year’s Eve is a big occasion in Frankenmuth, and hotels are likely to sell out - so we recommend booking your hotel as soon as possible. B) The two largest hotels in Frankenmuth (Bavarian Inn Lodge and Zehnder’s Splash Village) have wonderful accommodations - including indoor waterparks! - if you'd like an extended holiday in Frankenmuth, but they require a 2-night minimum stay when overlapping with New Year’s Eve and often sell out all of their rooms because of their huge NYE celebrations. C) The hotels closest to the reception venue are SpringHill Suites and Holiday Inn Express- both are just a few minutes walk from the reception. We have a small block of rooms reserved at SpringHill (see top of page). D) There are also several lovely AirBnb/Vrbo rentals available at the time we’re writing this, some with as many as 5 bedrooms (if you want to share the cost with other guests). E) Finally, if you don't mind accommodations 10-15 minutes from the reception, there are several affordable options in Birch Run.
