I met Lindsay in April 1996, shortly after my emergence from the womb of our shared mother. Since then, we have evolved together, experiencing the positives and negatives of childhood and adolescence in distinct, yet similar ways. Now in our 20s, we both share passions for science, politics, sports, and the arts. But I think the most significant passion we share is our view that one should take incredibly seriously the things in life which are most important, and make a complete farce of the things that are not. I am incredibly proud of Lindsay for all that she is, I am so happy she found Christian as her life partner, and I cannot wait to be a part of their wedding!

Christian's dad. A real cool guy when his creativity isn't being stifled. Not only is he the singer, drummer, guitarist and bassist of his own 1-man band, he's also an expert locksmith. A great friend to have if you frequently lock yourself out of your house and keep a dusty guitar in your livingroom.

One time, in the snow, David and Christian drove to David's house to fill a gatorade bottle with liquor. David got caught almost immediately while Christian was outside trying to fit a condom over the tailpipe of his car. This is probably why David's high school girlfriends forbid him from corresponding with Christian. SPAMONI.

2013 was a big year. Not only did I start college at UF, but I also found the first person who showed me what friendship truly was. Lindsay was not only a friend to me, but a sister. She never failed to be there for me when I needed it most while also challenging me never allowing me to settle for something less than what she knew I was capable of (quizzing me on ABA in my room while I intermittently panicked that I was going to fail). I couldn’t imagine my life without Lindsay then and I can't imagine my future without her and her entire family. For an assignment, I had to interview a couple on a variety of different points. Their partnership has a beautiful way of communicating differences and respecting each other for who they are. I am so happy that I get to be a part of their day!

I’m Mary Hanvey and I’m so excited to be a part of Lindsay and Christian’s special day! I met Lindsay at UF, but it was the first summer that I was in Boston when we fully realized our mutual loves for the gators, pop punk, and enjoying life in general. Lindsay is one of the most brilliant, hilarious, and loving people I know.  I feel so genuinely lucky to have been able to watch her grow and find such a great life partner. I love you both, gooo gators!

Some of the best times I had with Lindsay were over a fried egg that she made for me in Kerri’s kitchen. I knew she was good people from the moment she came to stay with us for her lab interview. We thought we would see less of Lindsay when Christian moved to Gainesville. Instead, we lucked out because Christian fit right in with our group of friends who can be all kinds of honest around each other. I will be looking for a spoon at their wedding to add to my collection of 18 spoons that Lindsay once gave me.
