South Lake Howard Nature Park
Numerous people visit South Lake Howard Nature Park each day to walk, bike and roller blade the one mile of paved looped trail while observing wildlife interacting along the shorelines. Nearly 1000 feet of boardwalk provides a nice vantage point to fish, observe wildlife, and overlook Lake Howard which is on the Winter Haven Chain of Lakes.

This was the location of the very first Publix Super Market opened by George Jenkins in 1930. The restaurant is not open for business, but you can take a peek inside!
