Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony? What's the transportation situation?

Answer

We will have busses going from the Opal Sands to the church and back for the reception. The bus will depart from Opal Sands at 1:15 pm. Please try to make this bus. There will be another bus depart from Opal Sands to the church at 1:30. It takes about 20 minutes from the Opal Sands resort to the church. Given the mass schedules at the church, we will want to start right on time so please plan accordingly. These same busses will take you back to the Opal Sands Resort after the ceremony. If you prefer to drive, there is plenty of parking at the church and the drive is enjoyable for those that want to take a ride down Gulf Blvd.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Double yes. Parking at the church is free. Parking at the Opal Sands will be subject to valet parking.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! We plan on providing meat, seafood, and vegetarian options but if there is something specific, please let us know.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

For any young children, we are planning on providing accommodations at the Opal Sands Resort during the reception if desired. The accommodations will include a trusted babysitter, a zoom video stream during the event, and information so you can pop by and see your mini-me's if desired during the event. COVID- How are you handling it?

Answer

During this extremely difficult time, we realized that there are many questions around the status of the COVID-19 virus and variants that we simply don't have all the answers to. As a couple, we personally encourage you to get vaccinated if you are able. As conditions and requirements from our venues, Florida, and the CDC evolve, we will notify you. If you would like to wear a mask at the event and it will make you most comfortable, please feel free to do so. We will be working with the St. Petersburg Diocese and Opal Sands Resort to ensure all event locations include best efforts to have a safe environment for our friends and family. We are excited to have you with us to celebrate this once in a lifetime event and cherish this special moment with us.
