Question

What are the best options for flying to Blue Hill?

Answer

The closest airport to Blue Hill is Bangor International (BGR), which is about 1 hour away. Less expensive flights are sometimes available to Portland International (PWM), about 2.5 hours away, and Boston Logan International (BOS), about 4 hours way.

Question

If I am flying, should I rent a car?

Answer

Yes. We recommend renting a car so you can easily travel between wedding events and to all of the amazing activities the area has to offer. Major car rental companies have kiosks at all of the airports listed above.

Question

How late can I book a room and still find a place to say?

Answer

We encourage you to book lodging as early as possible. The Blue Hill area only has a few inns and Labor Day is a popular travel weekend. However, more options are available on AirBnB. If you find yourself stuck, email us at peabodytabit@gmail.com and we can help!

Question

Should I stay for a few days before or after the wedding?

Answer

Yes! Blue Hill is a wonderful vacation spot, and we plan to join you for spontaneous hikes, sails, and lobster-eating in the days before and after our wedding.

Question

What is your plan for COVID?

Answer

The state of Maine has lifted all COVID restrictions so we are excited to celebrate with you in full force. Even so, all wedding locations allow ample space for optional social distancing. Based on our earlier survey, we anticipate that nearly all guests will be fully vaccinated. Those who are unvaccinated are asked to quarantine and get tested prior to the wedding.

Question

I still have questions. May I contact you?

Answer

Yes! We'd love to hear from you at peabodytabit@gmail.com.
