The Way Beginning...Kinda
Preschool: 1999-2000
Elizabeth and Billy both attended Temple Israel preschool, though they were in different groups! Unfortunately, they do not remember one another.
Viva la Mexico!
Spring Break: 2017
They were then introduced by mutual friends at a villa party during their sophomore year Spring Break trip to Puerto Vallarta. Billy will never forget Elizabeth's shark-themed one piece bathing suit from that day!
Sparks Fly in Hong Kong
Study Abroad: Spring 2018
After communicating sparsely since Mexico a year prior, they were both excited to find out that they both chose to study abroad in Hong Kong. Within weeks, they were going on frequent dates. More often, they could be found enjoying a drink at Club 7/11.
Billy & The B***es in Beijing
Study Abroad: March 2018
Billy wanted to spend so much time with Elizabeth that he even invited himself on her girls weekend trip to Beijing. It was on this trip where Billy asked Elizabeth to make things official as his girlfriend!
Long Distance: Round 1
Senior Year: 2018-2019
Elizabeth and Billy went back to UPenn and Vanderbilt for their respective senior years, but they vowed to visit each other as much as possible. Billy attended his first famed Theta Formal, and Elizabeth got her chance to meet Big Boy!
Long Distance: Round 2
Too Long: 2019-2023
After graduating, Elizabeth stayed in Philly and Billy moved to New York. At least the distance between them shortened. Still, they became very, very acquainted with the Northeast Regional Amtrak and I-95. Adventurous trips helped make up for lost time, whether it was drinking wine in Portugal, skiing in Telluride, hiking in Arizona, or snowmobiling in Finland!
Phinally Together
Bliss: 2023-Onwards
Billy moves to Philly and quickly learns that dessert is mandatory every night of the week. Elizabeth realized that her pasta intake was going to decrease significantly. Still, they believed these changes were well worth it to spend the extra time together!
Poppin' the Question
Forever
Billy asked Elizabeth to marry him on July 19th, 2024, and she said yes!
