(She/her) Lizzie’s big sister. As Lizzie’s first role model, Jenn taught her how to do many things (whether she meant to or not), like to appreciate pop punk music, to care deeply, and to never give up. Lizzie has always admired her adventurousness, tenacity, and loyalty in all aspects of life. So from wrapping the dog in a blanket like a burrito, to wandering around Italy one spring break, to walking down the aisle, Lizzie is glad to have had Jenn with her every step of the way.
Joe Barton
Best Man
(He/him) Some call him the people’s champ, but you can call him the Best Man. Joe has been one of Andy's best friends since senior year of high school, and, most notably, Joe is the reason Andy discovered the Criterion Collection. Joe is passionate about history and can recite the whole movie Gettysburg word for word. But more importantly, he is a wonderful father, husband, and best friend.
Natalia Rieger

(She/her) Lizzie’s oldest friend! Lizzie and Natalia met in Mrs. DeGennaro’s kindergarten class. By 6th grade, they were attached at the hip and irrevocably bonded by their love of silly voices and all things England. Even when Nat moved to Tennessee in 10th grade, the friendship stayed strong with frequent phone calls and road-trip visits. These two have been through it all together, and it’s Lizzie's honor to have such a fiercely loyal friend by her side on her wedding day.
Daniel Pierce

(He/him) Andy's little brother. There is nothing little about him. Ever since Daniel was a kid, he’s always known he wanted to be in the Air Force. Through sheer focus and determination, he has achieved this goal and many more. When Andy thinks of what success looks like as an adult, Daniel is the first thing to come to mind. He has always been there for Andy, and you can find them together every year as part of their annual tradition attending the C2E2 comic con.
Shannon Bowers Grimaldi

(She/her) Lizzie and Shannon met at a random house party on the very first night of college and became friends faster than you can say, "hut dug." They've kept the party going ever since, with Lizzie following Shannon to live in Chicago in 2016. Lizzie could not be happier or more grateful to have intertwined her path with Shan's, and to have had that path lead all the way here to her wedding.
Patrick Grimaldi

(He/him) Good patent attorneys are hard to find, especially ones named Pat. But that’s not the only thing he should be known for. Pat is the definition of a “Renaissance Man”. He has inspired Andy to learn to cook vegan dishes, but also be a better all-around man of culture. Pat is a kind, caring person, always willing to step up and help, inspiring others to be the best versions of themselves while looking cool doing it! Don’t be surprised if you find him and Andy talking about funk music.
Katie LaTour

(They/them, She/her) It all started with an aggressive mutual friend crush in Spanish class in 2009. By senior year of college, these two managed to quit orbiting each other and just become best friends already! From there, it was anything but casual. Lizzie and Katie have lived, worked, gone to grad school, and created countless stories together. Lizzie couldn't imagine this monumental day without her monumental friend.
Zoya Evesque Davis

(She/her) In 2018, Zoya needed a cinematographer for the Chicago 48-Hour Film Festival, and Andy answered the call. Since then, Zoya and Andy have made several films under her company, Hela’s Hand Productions. Zoya is passionate about being creative and has taught Andy to make things that make you happy. She is a wonderful human being and one of best storytellers out there!
Mallory McShane

(She/her) Mallory and Lizzie met through many wonderful mutual friends (also listed here) circa 2016. Not only did Mal accept Lizzie's recovering horse-girl tendencies and unhinged love for the 2006 cinematic masterpiece, "She's the Man", but she matched them with equal enthusiasm, and thus, a friendship was born. Accepting, loyal, creative, giving, and astoundingly competent at everything, Mal makes being a good friend look easy. Lizzie is honored to have Mal by her side today and every day!
Derek Sandberg

(He/him) The ultimate game master! Derek has introduced Andy to the world of D&D and because of that, Andy’s shelf of TTRPGs has grown significantly. Derek is an encyclopedia of pop culture, with a fact ready to go at any moment. Derek has taught Andy the secret to being a game master is never being afraid to "yes" because you never know if your players might lead you to an even better story than you imagined.
