Liz went on a trip to Ireland in the summer of 2018. When Kate (Maid of Honor) dropped her off at the airport she told Liz that she had this premonition that she would find her future husband within three months of that date. Just a few days later, Liz set her eyes on Andrew at the SUNY New Paltz Club Fair. As Andrew approached the Catholic Campus Ministry (CCM) table, Liz's heart skipped a beat. For the next two months they didn't see much of either, but when they did Liz did her best to impress. Andrew was none-the-wiser. The last weekend of October 2018, CCM went on retreat. Andrew and Liz ended up in the same small group, which Liz was elated about. Over the course of the weekend the two got to know each other and Andrew even agreed to go to Indianapolis for a conference with Liz in January. By Sunday afternoon it was like they had known each other for years. The next day, Kate came to visit from Ireland. Upon their first greeting Kate and Liz's mom could tell that something had happened over the weekend. Liz gushed over the wonderful time she had with Andrew. Kate made it her mission to get them together by the time she left America the following week. They invited Andrew to dinner that night. Andrew was under the impression a group of people would be there, but no, it was just Kate and Liz. They had such a fun time that they all went back to Liz's apartment, joined by Liz's roommate, Kaitlyn, and her brother, Josh. Andrew quickly became a part of the crew. The next night, CCM went to West Point for a retreat reunion. Andrew wasn't able to go, but Liz and Kate tagged along with CCM for the night. Through embarrassing circumstance a text went from Liz's phone to Andrew's saying, "Liz thinks you're cute." Liz was mortified by such juvenile behavior, but it seemed to be enough to break the ice. Andrew then asked her out...

Liz had the idea to throw a party at which she and Kate could celebrate all of the fall and winter holidays together. A Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas celebration, which they plan to reprise in future years. They listened to seasonal music, watched themed movies, and ate seasonal food altogether with a number of Liz and Kaitlyn's friends. Liz had invited Andrew by the end of retreat and was excited to impress as a hostess. By the end of the night, Andrew was the one who had impressed. He charmed Liz by the way he got to know her friends, washed the dinner dishes, and appreciated the same holiday songs and movies as Liz. He was the last one to leave the party and Liz was sure this wouldn't be the last time.

Over the next two years, Andrew and Liz built a life together. Along with their family and friends, the two have enjoyed trips, concerts, movies, and The Bachelor. They are so excited to continue making memories and music, now as a married couple.
