In the Netherlands, the Ceremony Master is a bit like a wedding coordinator and all-around superhero for the day 💫 she’ll make sure everything runs smoothly so we can just enjoy getting married! You can contact her with any questions about the day, or if you’d like to plan something special for the evening, like a speech, toast, or fun game. Lara Sprangers (sprangerslara@gmail.com) - She speaks English en ook Nederlands!
We’d love for everyone to dress their best: think elegant, comfortable, and celebration-ready! We kindly ask that you skip blue jeans, and instead join us in dressing up for this special day. Whether you choose your favorite suit, a lovely dress, or something that simply makes you feel amazing, we can’t wait to see everyone looking fabulous and feeling at ease.
We adore your kiddos, but to keep things small and relaxed, we’re inviting only our family’s children to join in the fun.
We’d love to, but our place will be more of a wedding headquarters than a cozy B&B that whole week! 🏡✨ Unfortunately, we can’t host anyone overnight. Check out the Travel page for great nearby hotels, or ask our Ceremony Master for some local tips and tricks.
The Netherlands can never be dependable for its weather. However in May usually, the temperatures are between 16-19 degrees celsius (make the conversion farenheit people!). Always bring a light (rainproof) jacket for your other excursions.
You can use your credit card at almost any location. Apple pay is commonly also accepted, also on public transportation. It is always wise to have some euros on you, but keep in mind that many restaurants and shops are now cash free. Most commonly accepted credit cards are visa and mastercard (Amex on occasions). You might sometimes need to enter a pin code for your credit card (ask your bank prior to your travel for this information)
Even though we are recommending using public transport to your advantage, both Uber and Bolt do work in Netherlands. From the airport: Though the train will take you everywhere, if you want a taxi we recommend to pre-book. In general we recommend Oranje taxi (https://oranjetaxiservice.nl/en/) to and from the airport.
We would recommend not to. Parking is extremely expensive in and around the city, and the public transportation in The Hague, and across other cities is excellent.
