Getting There

Foxfire Mountain House is located in the Catskills and is approximately: • 2 hours by car from New York City • 2 hours from Newark Liberty International Airport • 2 hours 20 minutes from LaGuardia Airport • 2 hours 45 minutes from JFK International Airport • 90 minutes from Albany International Airport We highly recommend renting a car, as it is the most efficient way to get to the Catskills and the easiest way to explore the area over the weekend. Shuttle transportation will be provided for Saturday’s wedding events. If you have any questions or run into any issues securing transportation, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Matt and Liz. Shuttle, Parking & Lodging Information (IMPORTANT!)

SATURDAY WEDDING TRANSPORTATION Shuttle transportation will be the primary way to get to and from Foxfire Mountain House on Saturday. Parking will not be available at the reception venue. Guests driving in for the day should plan to park at a designated location along the shuttle route, where pickup will be available. Because cell reception can be limited and rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are not available in the area, we strongly encourage guests to plan ahead and use the shuttle or pre-arranged transportation. Final shuttle routes, pickup locations, and timing will be shared closer to the date. FRIDAY WELCOME DRINKS Transportation is not required for Friday night. We have parking on-site for approximately 60 cars via the driveway leading to Foxfire Mountain House. Guests are encouraged to carpool when possible, or pre-arrange a taxi if preferred. ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORTATION For guests who prefer private transportation, Woodstock Town Car is a reliable local option familiar with the area. AIRBNB GUESTS Many nearby Airbnbs are close to designated shuttle pickup locations and are typically within 10–15 minutes of Emerson Resort, the shuttle stop nearest to our venue. For planning purposes, expect to drive yourself to a nearby pickup location. As we finalize the shuttle route, we may be able to offer more direct pickup for some Airbnb stays — we'll update this page as details are confirmed.

WEEKEND STAYS NEAR VENUE (10–25 MINUTES)

These local resorts, boutique hotels, and inns are the closest options to Foxfire Mountain House and are ideal if you’re planning to stay for the weekend and explore the area. All are within approximately 10–20 minutes of the venue and located along the wedding shuttle route. *For convenience, accommodations are listed below from closest to farthest from the venue.* Please note that due to seasonal demand, some accommodations require a two- or three-night minimum stay, as listed below for each property.

Emerson Resort & Spa

The closest hotel to our venue (right down the hill!). Located approximately 5 minutes from the venue by car. Included on the wedding shuttle loop. NOTE: This is a popular resort for wedding guests in the Catskills area, so rooms may book up more quickly than usual. A two-night minimum stay is required. The property sits along the scenic Esopus Creek, offering a beautiful setting. Guests can choose between the contemporary Inn or the Adirondack-style Lodge, enjoy the spa, dine at the on-site restaurant, browse The Shops at Emerson, and visit the World’s Largest Kaleidoscope.

Howland House

Located approximately 5 minutes from the venue. Included on the wedding shuttle loop. This is a restored 1850s inn with ten guest rooms, offering a cozy, historic stay close to Foxfire Mountain House. Accommodations here are more traditional and bed-and-breakfast-style, and may be a good fit if you’re looking for a comfortable place to stay with a classic inn feel. Oliver’s, a British pub–inspired restaurant popular with locals, is located on the property. Rooms are available to book directly with the inn on a first-come, first-served basis. A two-night minimum stay is required.

The Lodge at The Pines

Located approximately 5 minutes from the venue. Included on the wedding shuttle loop. The Lodge at the Pines is ideal for couples or groups traveling together. With a full kitchen, living room, private porch, and outdoor fire pit, it’s a comfortable option for friends or family who want to stay under one roof. The lodge includes five bedrooms total (two larger bedrooms with queen beds and private bathrooms, plus three smaller bedrooms with full beds and a shared bathroom), making it especially well-suited for shared stays. The on-site Pines Restaurant & Bar is a local favorite, known for great food and drinks.

The Perch Cottages

Located approximately 5 minutes from the venue. Included on the wedding shuttle loop. The Perch Cottages is a collection of eight cozy, stand-alone cottages set on several acres along the Esopus Creek, with scenic Catskill Mountain views and direct creek access. The setting is peaceful and outdoorsy, with open meadows and plenty of space to relax. These accommodations are especially well-suited for groups or families. Each cottage has at least two bedrooms, and some offer three bedrooms, making them ideal for sharing. Guests can enjoy a nearby swimming hole where the creek meets the Esopus, as well as a large front lawn that’s great for gathering. NOTE: a three-night minimum stay applies. For groups splitting a cottage, this can be a great value for the area (often around ~$175 per room per night, depending on group size). The property is family-friendly and pet-friendly.

The Bend

Located approximately 5 minutes from the venue. Included on the wedding shuttle loop. The Bend is a design-forward Catskills retreat created by the interior designers and architects behind Foxfire Mountain House. Set on six acres, the property offers private creek access, hammocks, Adirondack chairs facing Mt. Pleasant Ridge, and a seasonal on-site pool. The property consists of three buildings with a mix of layouts, making it a great option for larger families or groups. Options include two one-bedroom stays (a suite and a loft), as well as two-bedroom suites and cottages. A three-night minimum stay is required, and reservations must be booked directly with The Bend

Hotel Dylan

Located approximately 15 minutes from the venue. Included on the wedding shuttle route. Hotel Dylan is a relaxed, design-forward hotel offering a comfortable base for exploring the area. The property sits near Overlook Mountain and just a short drive from downtown Woodstock, making it easy to access shops and restaurants. The property also features a central lawn with fire pits, a seasonal heated saltwater pool, and an on-site restaurant and bar. Casita Santana (On-Property Option) Hotel Dylan also offers Casita Santana, a two-bedroom, two-bath private residence on the property. It includes a full kitchen, living and dining space, outdoor area, and easy walking access to hotel amenities -- a nice option for families or small groups.

The Woodstock Inn on the Millstream

Located approximately 20 minutes from the venue. Included on the wedding shuttle route. This inn offers a bed-and-breakfast feel with boutique hotel amenities, set on beautifully landscaped grounds along the Millstream. Guests can enjoy open gardens, pergolas, patios, hammocks. A great option if you’re looking for a scenic atmosphere, while still being close to the shops and restaurants of Woodstock.

Kingston is one of the main hubs in the Catskills, located approximately 35 minutes from the venue. These larger or chain hotels may be a good option for guests staying one night or looking for familiar accommodations, and will be served by the wedding shuttle.

We’ve also listed a small number of individual Airbnb options near the venue, selected based on current availability (as of early March 2026) and proximity to Foxfire Mountain House.
