Question

What should we wear?

Answer

Please wear what you are comfortable in. Our wedding party will be wearing gowns and suits but in New Orleans, anything goes. We highly recommend comfortable shoes.

Question

What is the weather like in New Orleans this time of year?

Answer

January highs are in the mid-60’s with lows in the mid 40’s. We recommend a jacket or sweater for the ceremony which is outdoors in the courtyard of the New Orleans Pharmacy Museum.

Question

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

Our ceremony is at the New Orleans Pharmacy Museum, (La Pharmacie Francaise) 516 Charters St. in their outside courtyard. Our reception takes place next door at the Napoleon House (the upstairs Rosa & Pietro Room) , 500 Chartres St. Both are across the street from the Omni Royal New Orleans Hotel, where we have booked a block of rooms. We recommend that you arrive early to ensure we can get the party started as scheduled.

Question

What is the best way to get around New Orleans?

Answer

Most of our events are just a short walk from our designated hotel, the Omni Royal New Orleans, which is in the heart of the French Quarter and close to bars, restaurants and shopping. Check out our "Things to Do" page for more information. To get around NOLA and to and from Louis Armstrong Airport (MSY), we recommend Uber/Lyft and streetcars (New Orleans Regional Transit Authority). Parking in New Orleans is expensive and often difficult to find. Hotel parking is available for $21 per day.

Question

Where should I park the day of the wedding?

Answer

If you are not staying within walking distance to the French Quarter and need to park a car, please use this link to view more information about parking https://www.premiumparking.com/P249

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

Our Second Line takes place immediately after the ceremony and after that, we will all head straight to our reception at Napoleon House. Our reception is "New Orleans Casual" ; cocktail hour followed by a buffet dinner with open seating. Several tables will be reserved for family and the wedding party.

Question

What is a Second Line?

Answer

In New Orleans, culture comes bubbling up from the streets and one of the most unique local expressions of this culture is the second line parade. Second Lines are the descendants of the city’s famous jazz funerals and are now suitable for any type of celebration. They carry many of the same traditions with them as they march down the streets.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed if you can't make it to our wedding. Please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "no" so we can plan accordingly.
