Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 pm. Please arrive by 4:30 - 4:45 pm to enjoy the beautiful lakefront views and refreshments ahead of our "I Do's." Cocktail hour and the reception will follow at The Mill.

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Yes! We encourage all guests to use our shuttle service to and from The Mill. Shuttles will be available before the ceremony for pick-up at the Chateau Inn & Suites, The Breakers on the Ocean, The Ocean House, and The White Sands Oceanfront Hotel. In addition, transportation will be provided from the reception to the after party at the Spring Lake Tap House or back to these hotels at the end of the evening. Guests staying at The Grand Victorian who wish to use the shuttle service should note that this hotel is right next to The Breakers on the Ocean. We will share additional shuttle details as May 30, 2026 approaches. Ubers are available in the area for your convenience. We recommend scheduling a ride in advance if you prefer this option.

Yes, parking is available at The Mill.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our wedding is black-tie optional! Tuxedos and floor-length gowns are encouraged, but not required. Suits and cocktail dresses are perfectly appropriate! Please note that, weather permitting, the ceremony will take place outdoors.

What color are the bridesmaids wearing?

Are kids welcome?

While we love your kids, we kindly ask that you please leave the little ones at home so we can enjoy a night of celebration together!

Can I bring a guest?

We respectfully request that attendance be limited to the guests named on your invitation. Thank you for your understanding!

How do I RSVP and select my meal preference?

Answer

Please refer to the card included with your wedding invitation for details on how to RSVP. Kindly note that The Mill makes all food-to-order, so you'll have the opportunity to choose your entrée when we sit for dinner.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

If you have a food allergy, please note that a diverse selection of dishes will be available throughout the evening. Kindly inform your server of any allergies when you're seated so they can accommodate.

Answer

For your convenience, we have reserved a limited number of rooms in our room blocks. Shuttle pick-up and drop-off will be available at the Chateau Inn & Suites, The Breakers on the Ocean, The Ocean House, and The White Sands Oceanfront Hotel. We recommend booking as soon as possible to secure your reservation and take advantage of the shuttle service. Please refer to the "Travel" tab for more information. There are plenty of other hotels, bed & breakfasts, and accommodations in the area if you prefer options not listed on the "Travel" tab. Keep in mind that summer bookings are filling up fast!
