Liz and Austin’s love story began as a match on Hinge. After a week of great conversation, they were both eager to meet. Their first date took place on November 5, 2021, at The Cabin in the East Village. They talked for hours and laughed as if they had known each other forever. From that first meeting, many fantastic dates followed, and their relationship took off! Fast forward nearly three years, and Austin had a plan to propose. On September 28, 2024, during a rainy stroll along the High Line to meet friends for drinks, he stopped Liz and pointed out a boat on the Hudson. When she turned back, Austin was on one knee! He can’t remember exactly what he said, but Liz said the only thing that mattered: “Yes!" Friends and family were hiding nearby so everyone could celebrate together and a few kind strangers captured the moment on their phones (special shoutout to them). The past four years together have been the best of their lives — from getting engaged, going to countless Yankees games, and enjoying homemade pasta dinners and movie nights, to blending their friends and families, and, of course, becoming parents to their cat, Charlie. Liz and Austin could not be more excited for this next chapter of their lives and they are so grateful to celebrate with you all! See you in Spring Lake!
