We're excited to be having a camp wedding at Camp Saginaw in Oxford, PA (address: 740 Saginaw Rd, Oxford, PA 19363). All of the weekend events will take place at the camp from Friday night's welcome dinner through Sunday's brunch.
We're getting married on Saturday September 7th, 2024. We're looking forward to celebrating with our friends and family from Friday September 6th to Sunday September 8th with games and events throughout the weekend. Please join for as much as you're able to - we will share additional details around the schedule for the weekend on this site and will gather detailed RSVP information so we know when folks plan to join the fun. We're looking forward to celebrating with you.
We thought long and hard about what we wanted from a wedding and we decided the only thing that really mattered was time with our people, so we looked for ways to maximize the quality time we get to spend with all of you. A camp wedding gave us the chance to spend the weekend with you all, play some games, and enjoy being together. Plus, who doesn't love s'mores? We're so thrilled and honored to get to invite you to our wedding and excited to spend the time with you.
All guests are welcome to stay at the camp in the standard cabins for free as part of the wedding weekend. There are a handful of additional cabins available for people with accessibility or privacy needs that the camp will provide for an additional fee. If that's a better fit for you - please let us know and we will do what we can to ensure everyone who wants to stay at the camp for the weekend has a comfortable place to enjoy the full camp experience. If cabins aren't your preference, that's totally fine! We've reserved room blocks at a nearby hotel (more details on the travel tab).
Standard cabins include 10-12 single twin beds (no bunk beds) and a full bathroom with multiple sinks, toilets, and showers. The standard cabins house a maximum of 14 guests, but most will not be full to give folks plenty of room. We're planning to group our guests staying in cabins with other folks they know and are comfortable with - please reach out with any specific requests or questions on your RSVP and we will do what we can to accommodate. Bedding needed for those staying in standard cabins: twin sheets, blanket, pillow/pillowcase, towels -- we can bring extra or request bedding for folks who are unable to bring bedding, please let us know in your RSVP if you will need us to provide bedding.
- Outfit for wedding ceremony/reception (see Attire FAQ) - Comfortable/casual clothes for the rest of the weekend - Bathing suit - Toiletries - Bug spray - Sunscreen - Jacket/warm clothes for evening - Rain coat - Bedding for those staying in standard cabins: twin sheets, blanket, pillow/pillowcase, towel - Lawn chair for sitting around the fire or spectating the kickball game - Instruments to play around the fire - Reusable water bottle-there are many water filling stations around the camp!
For the ceremony and reception, we are encouraging our guests to wear "garden party" attire (think semi-formal, florals and bright colors, no shorts, no jeans). Please wear comfortable shoes that you will be able to wear while walking on grass (we discourage pointed heels for this reason!). See our Pinterest board for some ideas (copy and paste into browser): https://pin.it/75zIg98
The Camp will provide Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, Saturday lunch, Saturday reception dinner, and Sunday breakfast (see schedule). We will post the menu once it's confirmed. Every meal will include vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. Please let us know any other dietary needs on your RSVP and we will be sure to accommodate!
We're so excited to enjoy the camp grounds for the weekend and plan to have many outdoor activities as well as an outdoor wedding ceremony. If the weather doesn't cooperate, the camp has a variety of indoor spaces that we will use for activities and events throughout the weekend. Please keep an eye on the weather for Oxford, PA as the weekend approaches - we'll also be sure to communicate ahead of the event.
The Camp has a large parking lot at the front of the campus for guests to park, which will be labeled when you arrive. Guests staying in cabins will be able to pull their cars up into the camp to unload their belongings and then will return to the front parking lot. Cars are not permitted inside the camp grounds other than to unload belongings, but we will have use of a golf cart for folks who need a lift.
We are committed to ensuring that all of our guests are able to comfortably access and enjoy the weekend's events! The camp includes some large hills and grassy paths along with many paved paths. For guests with mobility needs, we will have access to a golf cart to travel between event spaces. The ceremony will take place on a grassy hill where guests will sit on benches. The reception, along with all other meals, will take place in the dining hall, which has a ramp entrance. There are some cabins that are ADA compliant. Please let us know in your RSVP if you have any specific questions regarding accessibility of the venue, and we will be happy to talk through it with you! During the reception, it might be a bit louder at times, but we have full use of the camp for folks who need a quieter space. We will have a designated quieter space available nearby, cabins for folks who are staying will be accessible at all times, and folks are welcome to take a walk outside as needed - whatever you need to enjoy the party!

Yes! We will have alcohol throughout the weekend. During the cocktail hour and reception, we will have a bar and bartender. At all other times, we will have drinks around the camp for folks to enjoy responsibly. People are allowed to BYOB, but we ask that all beer and cider be in a can to reduce the risk of broken glass getting left in the camp.
We kindly ask that all guests are aware of and observe good health and safety practices to help us celebrate our wedding safely with all of our loved ones. That includes: staying current on seasonal vaccines, testing for covid-19 before traveling for the weekend, and staying home if you're sick (we would miss you, but appreciate everyone doing the responsible thing). We will monitor conditions leading up to the event and will update our guests as needed to ensure a safe and happy event for everyone. Thank you!
We love the kids and pets in our lives - but this will be a human and adult-only wedding. Because we're getting married at a camp with wooded areas, water features, and alcohol present, the event will be adults only.
Cell and WiFi service can be sparse at camp. There is cell reception, but quality varies by carrier. There is limited WiFi near the camp office if needed, but we're looking forward to a low-key unplugged weekend.
