Travel Tips

✿ Make sure to pack your passport! Your passport needs to be valid for 6 months AFTER your departure date. Please check as soon as possible to allow for any necessary renewals! ✿ When you arrive at the ELH Airport, you'll need cash for the taxi ($10/person) and water taxi ($5/person) to Harbour Island and a few dollars for tips to luggage handlers. We recommend bringing some small bills. ✿ We also recommend bringing cash for food/drink, the beach and other small items! There is a bank ATM on the island if needed. Note: The US Dollar is equivalent to the Bahamian Dollar and is accepted as local currency.

Thursday Party on the Beach: Casual/resort wear Friday Night Before Party: Coat, no tie Saturday Wedding Ceremony and Reception: Coat, no tie ✿ It should be warm during the day and cool at night, so make sure you pack a sweater or wrap for the nighttime. ✿ The Thursday night party will be on the beach - please plan shoes accordingly. The wedding ceremony will also be on the beach, but there will be a station for you to drop your shoes and pick them back up before the reception, which is on solid ground.

Golf carts are the main way to get around the island. It's also easy to walk everywhere. All parties are within a 10 minute walk (just could get a little hot or tiring). Groceries and Alcohol

Groceries ✿ The Pigly Wigly is the local grocery store right in town and has all the basics. The Tip Top General Store across the street also has groceries, toiletries, and household items. ✿ Captain Bob's Market carries fresh fish and meat. Call ahead of the trip to order, and you can pick up once you arrive (242-333-3628). Wine, Beer, and Liquor ✿ Jimmy’s Liquor Store (😂) - Liquor, wine, and beer - The first thing you'll see when you walk out the ELH airport doors! Best and cheapest selection ✿ Bristol Wines & Spirits - Liquor, wine and ice - King & Princess Street (next to Pigly Wigly) ✿ Mario on Da Spot - Liquor, wine, and beer - Dunmore & Clarence Street ✿ 700 Wine and Spirits - Liquor, wine, and beer - Bay & King Street Drinking Water ✿ Only drink bottled water! Hotels will replenish your room's water bottles daily. Beach Access

The Coral Sands, The Dunmore, and The Pink Sands are located right on the beach. If renting, ask your rental company if the house provides beach chairs. You can also rent beach chairs from Teejays Shack on the beach underneath Coral Sands Beach Bar, or from Ms. V's beside The Dunmore.
