Flight
There are three DC-area airports: National (DCA), Dulles (IAD), and Baltimore (BWI). Both National and Dulles have dedicated Metro stops, so you can walk off the plane to baggage collection and on to the Metro easily. The ride to Dupont Circle is about 30 minutes from National and costs $3.30. From Dulles, you can expect a 75 minute ride to Dupont Circle that will cost $6.75. If you choose to fly into Baltimore, you will need to take the free 24/7 shuttle from the airport to the MARC/Amtrak station. Both MARC and Amtrak go to Union Station in DC, but their schedules vary. You can buy a MARC ticket at a physical kiosk or using their app for $8.00. For Amtrak, we recommend purchasing the ticket online or in the app; prices will vary based on availability.
