FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you arrive to the ceremony by 2:00 PM. This will allow ample time to find your seat and get settled before the proceedings begin. Please reference our schedule page for more timing details.

Question

How do I get to the ceremony?

Answer

The Friends Meeting of Washington is accessible by the Dupont Circle Metro Station, located along the Red Line. We recommend you exit the station towards Q Street; the walk should take about 7 minutes. If you are staying in the room block at the Royal Sonesta, the walk is due north and should take about 9 minutes. Please approach the Friends Meeting of Washington on the Decatur Street side and enter through the glass doors. Once inside, head upstairs, then make a right and follow down the hallway to your right. The Living Room will be on your left side.

Question

What should I wear on October 10?

Answer

We’d love for our guests to join us in cocktail attire. Pull out your favorite suit or blazer, or wear a dress, pantsuit, or coordinating separates. To inform your footwear choices: The ceremony and reception will be held indoors, but we will recess to a courtyard with a lawn for photos after the ceremony. Everyone will be invited to walk from the ceremony venue to the reception with the bride and groom, too!

Question

How do I get to the reception?

Answer

We invite all guests to walk with the newlyweds from the ceremony to the reception! If you're arriving on your own, Tabard Inn is accessible by the Dupont Circle Metro Station, located along the Red Line. We recommend exiting towards Dupont Circle; the walk should take about 5 minutes. Once you enter through front of the building on N Street, take the stairs up to the second level to Room 24 for the reception. Please note due to the historic nature of this building, there is no elevator.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony and/or reception?

Answer

You can find free (2 hour limit) and metered street parking near the ceremony venue; however, we cannot guarantee a space will be available for your vehicle. For the reception, in addition to street parking, there is a 24-hour garage on the same block as Tabard Inn (Palladium Garage, 1325 18th St. NW., Washington, DC, 20036). Tabard also offers valet parking. You may consider taking the Metro or utilizing a rideshare service to avoid finding parking. We've created a Lyft voucher with the code ADAMANDLIZA that you can use on the day of the wedding.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

On October 10 in Washington, DC, the five-year average high temperature is 70°F, and the average low is 52°F.
