Question

How is the Covid situation being handled?

Answer

We know that things are always changing, and are prepared to adapt as needed as we get closer to the date. We will update here if the situation changes. For the wedding, we are requiring that all guests be Vaccinated. We have many people attending that are personally at higher risk, or work in a situation that makes this necessary. We know that this may preclude some from attending, and while we wish we could see everyone, ask that we celebrate another time if you are not fully vaccinated. Events throughout the week will be a mix of indoor and outdoor situations, and we will be following local guidelines for all situations.

What can you tell me about the Mishawaka?

Answer

The Mishawaka is an amphitheater and concert venue outside of Fort Collins that is right along the edge of the Powder River. The river runs right next to the venue, and we'll probably see rafters zipping by throughout the event. While the venue is outdoors, we will have some indoor space, as well as restrooms available. The venue is at 5879 ft elevation, so the weather will be different than in Fort Collins. In early June we could see temperature ranges anywhere from 25 to 75 degrees, and will possibly have rain, snow, wind, or other elements Colorado likes to throw at us. Please bring a layer or two, and be ready to be outside through whatever we get! The venue is remote, and will not have cell phone or wifi service. Seriously, nothing is available. We hope this means you can enjoy the event and spend time with everyone attending.

Are children welcome at the Wedding?

Answer

Unfortunately, the Mishawaka is not a kid friendly location. With a rapid river running next to us, the weather, and the lack of communication, we don't think it would be a safe environment, or one that will allow the adults to celebrate with us. If you would like to bring your kiddos to our other events, let us know and we can make sure we are prepared.

What is the food situation at The Wedding?

This is a party! We are heaving heavy appetizers to start then some "bar food" around 8:30PM. There will not be a sit down dinner and we will have desserts as well. Come and hang out, celebrate, enjoy some music, but make sure to eat when you get a chance!

Wait, there is an island?

Answer

Hi Everyone - as no one RSVP'd to stay on the island, we cancelled the rental. Please make sure you take the bus back down at the end of the evening. Outside of Mishawaka there is small island that we have rented for the night. If you don't want to head back down you are welcome to bring some camping gear with you and crash on the island. We have it until 11AM June 3rd. Again, there is no cell service so if you choose to camp out please make arrangements to get back down to Fort Collins (you can drive up and park overnight if you would like). If you are interested in doing this please let us know as there is a 20 person max on the island. If you have questions just email or text us.
