On an ordinary Sunday afternoon in July, a simple inquiring message came through from a girl named Liz; "I liked your profile. How was your weekend?" it said, accompanied of course by several emoji's. Jordan was just being the single guy washing his Jeep that afternoon when he heard his phone, looked and saw the unexpected message. It was from that dating app he downloaded just two days before to "see what was out there" and get back in the dating game. That message started a conversation that has still yet to end. The messaging turned into good morning texts and daily phone calls often late in the evening until we could barely stay awake.
Monday, a week after we started communicating, we met for dinner at Firebird's. There was clearly a connection. We talked until they were cleaning and closing down the restaurant. From there its been a fairytale...we both couldn't wait to spend more and more time with each other.
It was a staycation Liz planned for Jordan's birthday, to spend time together and get away from it all. We stayed at the South Park Hampton Inn and had dinner reservations at the Palm. Though we had discussed getting married, Jordan had Liz convinced an engagement was still months away. But after dinner we went back to the room and as Liz was walking away he spun her around, got down on one knee and pulled a ring from his pocket. Of course she said YES!! It was unexpected, exciting and TRUE LOVE. Now we get to share our life's journey with each other forever...we couldn't be more excited or thankful.
