Here are a few suggestions for places to stay and transportation

Flight

BWI Airport

We suggest for those flying in from out of town, to fly into Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI). There are cab and Uber/Lyft services, as well as the local Light Rail system, that can take you all the way up to the Holiday Inn hotel. See more information regarding the hotel & light rail under the Holiday Inn section

Hotel

Holiday Inn Timonium - Baltimore North, an IHG Hotel

9615 Deereco Road
Lutherville-Timonium, MD 21093
 (410) 560-1000

We have a hotel block reserved here, for your convenience. The window for reserving online has now closed, but you can still get the discounted block rate if you contact : BARB SCHOFIELD at 410-560-1000 ext. 739. There is a Chili's Restaurant attached to the hotel, and has an outdoor pool too (may be open, pending weather). If taking the Light Rail from BWI, the closest stop to the hotel is the "Timonium Fairgrounds Station" - this is about 2-3 blocks away.

Discount Code - BLW

Hotel

Sheraton Baltimore North Hotel

903 Dulaney Valley Road
Towson, MD 21204
 (410) 321-7400

This is another hotel we suggest staying, that is close to the Lorenzen's home. We do not have a hotel block here, though it is in the center of Towson, with a multitude of fun places to eat and shop within walking distance.

House Or Rental

Airbnb or VRBO

Towson, MD

There are a number of Airbnb & VRBO home rentals available in the area if you are looking for accommodations other than a hotel. We recommend staying in the Towson area or north of there. You can see options here: https://www.airbnb.com/ and here: https://www.vrbo.com/

Travel Note

Driving around

Unfortunately, most of the local hotels do not have a hotel shuttle. We suggest for getting around town, either renting a car (from BWI), or using an UBER or LYFT. If you are looking to visit some of Baltimore's popular and or historical sites, the local Light Rail system is an effective way to get around :) Here is a link to a map of the train's stops : https://www.mta.maryland.gov/schedule/stops/lightrail?direction=1
