In late 2012, Alex and Morgan were working at a photo lab company together, though they worked in different departments. Alex and Morgan's workstations were coincidentally right next to each other, though separated by about 10ft and a glass wall. They had never spoken, but day after day, working side by side, would occasionally glance up at each other through the glass. One day, Morgan had brought bagels for coworkers in her department and began to set up the food in the lunch room. Alex looked on with hunger and unabashedly, he decided to introduce himself and ask Morgan if he could have a bagel. "Oh no! I'm so sorry, I only have enough bagels for my department! But I can get you one another day if you like - what's your favorite type of bagel? And cream cheese?" said Morgan, surprised and feeling a little awkward. Alex replied, " I love blueberry bagels! With sauerkraut and blueberry cream cheese!" " Err... that's interesting....I can do the blueberry bagel and cream cheese, but I don't think I'll be able to get you sauerkraut," said Morgan. Alex laughed and agreed it was pretty weird; he thanked Morgan and went back to work. A few days later, Morgan remembered she had promised Alex a bagel and went to pick it up. She walked into Alex's department, and found Alex's workstation adorned with cake and birthday balloons. Alex spied Morgan with bagel in hand and he exclaimed, " Oh wow! You really got me a bagel! And on my birthday!" Shortly after, Alex and Morgan began a friendship that grew into a wonderful relationship. And well, the rest is history!
