The cobblestone streets are lined with colorful, baroque Spanish architecture and the city is known for its thriving arts scene and an ever-growing list of great restaurants. In 2008, UNESCO recognized San Miguel de Allende as a World Heritage Site. There are no direct flights to San Miguel. There are 2 airports that are a 1.25-1.5 hour drive away.
