Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, we will be enforcing a strict Black Tie Optional dress code. For those who don’t know what this means, it means people who identify as men or masculine must wear a tuxedo or suit with jacket, or otherwise culturally appropriate formal wear (Kilts, Sherwani, etc). For people who identify as women or feminine, a floor length dress or modest cocktail dress will be required, or culturally appropriate formal wear (Saris, Kebaya, etc). Black Tie separates and women’s suiting are also acceptable with Black Tie Optional. The bride please asks guests to not wear shades of white unless the garment is a button down for suiting in respect for tradition. The ceremony and reception will be indoors and climate controlled, so any appropriate footwear and shawls for warmth are acceptable.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We will have how many people are invited on the RSVP card you will receive in the mail. But, please do not hesitate to ask one of us!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We are truly blessed that our friends and family have amazing, well behaved children of all ages. These children are welcome at both the ceremony and reception if parents would like them to be a part of the festivities.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We will need our final head count on guests by September 27th in order to properly have the venue and chef prepared. Please no later than this; if sent late, you will not be allowed in the reception.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Of course! Katrina has Celiac Disease, so all food at the Westermann/Lopes Wedding will already be gluten free. The bride also has family members that are vegetarian, so a vegetarian dish will be available. Please let us know of any other food allergies or special diets requests, and we will be sure we have a meal for you.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

I would arrive no earlier than thirty minutes before the 7:00 PM ceremony time. This gives you time to park, look around at the beautiful chapel, and find the most perfect seat for our nuptials.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We will be providing a shuttle to and from the hotels we recommend, as well as working on getting an Uber promo code set up. The last thing we want is someone drinking and driving from our wedding.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are currently registered on Honeyfund.com as well as Bed Bath and Beyond and Target for the more conventional folks. We also have a couple of small date night items we have registered for here on Zola.com
