We're Getting Married!

Trying to think back to the summer of 2018 Brandon and Stephanie couldn't remember exactly when they first met. Brandon thought it was at the Berlin Fair and Stephanie thought it was one of the many get togethers Brandon had on the farm. One thing they agreed on is it was mutual friends that brought them together.

No surprise to those who know them, but Stephanie made the first move and invited Brandon out for a beer. It didn't take much convincing and after some back and forth Brandon picked a bar and a time. They sat there drinking and talking for a couple hours. Brandon was so sweet and not only paid the bill, but also took Stephanie on a drive to his family farm to see the cows. He showed her the barn and the property before taking her on a walk past the fields. That's when he made his move or as Stephanie likes to call it her " Notebook" moment. With the rain starting to come down Brandon picked her up and kissed her. When Stephanie made it home that night she told her best friend that Brandon was the man she would marry someday.

It was rainy and cold April weekend, but it was Stephanie's birthday weekend and she left it all up to Brandon to plan. Brandon surprised her with a weekend trip to Traverse City. Ask anyone who knows them best Traverse City is in their top favorite places to visit. The morning of the proposal started at Stephanie's favorite brunch spot before heading up the Leelanau Peninsula. Since it was so early in the year and rainy most everything was still closed. Then they made it to the Grand Traverse Light House. Brandon and Stephanie decided to go look around and take some pictures. Stephanie found a fossil rock and Brandon saw his in. He convinced her to continue looking for rocks including Petoskey stones. Brandon waited until they were alone. Stephanie, walking in front, thought she had found a cool looking stone before hearing Brandon say he found a better one. Stephanie turned around to see Brandon on one knee with a ring in hand. Of course she said YES!!!!
