Years she's known Keenan: 16 Julia and Keenan met at boarding school in Massachusetts. They instantly bonded over cold weather, face masks and breaking the rules. Even though they only spent a year living there together (Julia left and went back to Chicago to finish out HS) they have kept up their friendship via phone and sporadic visits ever since. They talk to each other daily.

Isaac Lipton

Isaac is James' oldest son. He's on the Regents football team, is a Boy Scout, and is an avid video gamer. He's probably close to holding the Guinness Book World Record for eating the most ramen. Isaac is currently working on his new world record for most hours spent playing The Office theme song on the piano.

Years she's known Keenan: 19 Katie is one of Keenan's longest standing best friends. Basically a sister, they've managed to climb through HS, college and their post college years together. They spent many, many nights staying up late having the best "life talks" on Keenan's old porch.

Josh Lipton

Josh is James' older brother. More importantly he is James' teammate as the starting goalie for the All Blacks Hockey Club, widely known to be the greatest hockey franchise in the history of Austin beer league hockey. The two brothers moved to Austin roughly one hundred years ago to become wealthy members Austin music scene. Josh now works at HEB.

Mackenzie Stabile

Years she's known Keenan: 8 Mackenzie and Keenan met in college at Rutgers. They quickly bonded over being the only people awake at 6am, English literature and Exclusive vodka. Mackenzie is studying to be a therapist and Keenan has been a long-standing client. They share a similar sense of humor and laugh a lot when together.

Zach Lipton

Zach is James's younger brother. He also goes by the names Jack, Isaac, Josh, or Gabe. A devoted New York Rangers fan, Zach also finds room in his heart for his wife and two hilarious children. Despite being only, like, ten years old or something, Zach has managed to convince adults to allow him to oversee their hard earned money as a successful financial planner in Spokane.

Ali Kornblum

Years she's know Keenan: 16 Ali and Keenan met at boarding school in Massachusetts. They lived in the rooms next to each other in two separate dorms. They spent a lot of time sneaking into each others rooms at night with Julia and staying up late hanging out. Keenan basically moved into Ali's studio apartment in Boston during college.

Gabe Lipton

Gabe is James's youngest brother. He prefers to be called Wabby Gabe because he is a wah-baby. Gabe lives in beautiful Waco, TX which is Keenan's favorite town (that's not a joke) and is a graduate student at Baylor University. A talented film maker, writer, and musician, Gabe's favorite book is "Holes".

Abbie "Peen" Hastings

Years she's known Keenan: 15 Abbie and Keenan met at boarding school in Massachusetts. They've nicknamed each other Peen and talk on the phone all the time. During HS they had to routinely leave class to take walks because they'd get into 5 minute long laughing fits. Post HS they spent time volunteering and getting lost in Africa. They share a common disregard for danger and had no problem getting into strangers cars in Kenya and out of matatus in safari land to take photos of dead hippos.

Ricky Stein

Ricky and James have been friends for 13 years. Having met playing music together in Austin, the two still see each other regularly despite Ricky having split town to pursue Columbia master's degrees and New York City teaching jobs. One day they will co-own a baseball team but, until that day, they settle for playing the occasional show together and sharing a love for ogre toes and ridiculous, off-the-cuff song writing.

Michelle Montalbano

Years she's known Keenan: 5 Michelle and Keenan met through Keenan's brother, Tucker. Michelle is Tucker's fiance and soon to be sister in law! They recently went dress shopping together and both found dresses minutes after one another!

Bryce Clifford

Bryce and James have been friends for 14 years. Long ago Bryce's home was a place to crash whenever James needed it, nowadays Bryce keeps his own key to the Lipton house. They came up together in the Austin music scene when it was still rough around the edges and their friendship has grown right along with the city in which it began. An accomplished songwriter and one of a kind guitar player, Bryce loves Heineken and being from Canada.

Beth Jurns

Years Keenan's known Beth: 3 Beth is James's sister and Keenan's soon to be sister-in-law! They recently attended a Christian conference in New Jersey together and survived a long car ride with 3 crying kids. Beth has been a driving force in Keenan beginning to develop a relationship with God. Beth is someone Keenan respects, looks up to and truly adores.

Doug Walseth

Groomsman

Doug and James have been friends for 14 years. They first met when James was hosting weekly jam sessions at his house. The two got to talking about philosophy, politics, and religion and have been close ever since despite having zero points of agreement on any of those subjects. They do agree on what makes for fantastic music and have spent many years as bandmates and collaborators on various projects. Doug is a brilliant software engineer and an even more brilliant sound engineer and record producer. He also ruined James' piano by leaving it out in the rain for three months - not so brilliant.

Christina Lipton

Years she's known Keenan: 3 Christina is James's sister in law and soon to be Keenan's too. Christina and Josh have spent many Sundays grilling out at James and Keenan's although Christina prefers to bring her own Italian subs. She's refreshingly outspoken, funny and has been very helpful to both Keenan and James throughout the years.

Tucker Witty

Tucker passed away a few weeks ago but we will still be honoring him as a member of the party. He is present in our hearts, always, and therefore will still be with us on this special day. Tucker is Keenan's younger brother and James's soon to be brother-in-law. James and Keenan have made many attempts to convince Tucker and Michelle (his fiancee) to move to Austin but seem to be making zero headway on this effort. When he was a kid, Tucker was so obsessed with Jim Carrey that he changed his name to Ace Witty. Feel free to refer to him as Ace at the wedding. He'll LOVE that!

Charlotte Lipton

Charlotte is James's oldest daughter. She's a seriously talented artist, loves Japanese culture and (in her words) romance is pretty much all she thinks about. She enjoys concocting money-making schemes and never runs out of energy to make her little brother laugh.

Susan Lipton

Susan is James' youngest daughter. She enjoys cooking, singing, and making people laugh all of which she excels at. She is a world-class big sister and, like her step-mother, a great and enthusiastic conversationalist.

Jacky Lipton

Jack is Keenan and James’s son. His nickname is Jacky Smash. He acts like a big strong man until his mom leaves the room.
