Where to Stay
We wish we could host you all (maybe in the future, with Liv's B&B visions...), but for now, we're lucky to live somewhere famous for its hospitality!
We don't have a hotel block, but some tips on areas to stay + a few recommendations:
- The French Quarter: Where our party is and an iconic New Orleans neighborhood! Only hotels here. The side nearest Esplanade Ave. is lovely. Look at the block; some are busy 24/7, others are residential.
- The Marigny: Colorful Creole cottages! A walk from the after party.
- Bayou St. John: The neighborhood that made us want to move here. The pocket by Cafe Degas is esp. idyllic!
- Algiers Point: Our new neighborhood & the Saturday hang spot! Can likely find better Airbnb rates here; just recommend looking for places IN Algiers Point for a central stay. (We border lots of suburban sprawl!)
- The Lower Garden District/Garden District: Magazine St. has lots of shops/bars/eateries.
Tip: Google guest houses/cottages. Many aren't on Airbnb!
