Masquerade @ the New Orleans Pharmacy Museum

DRESS CODE: Liv will be wearing a ball gown with a costume-y element. Dan will be wearing a suit with a shirt unbuttoned to his navel. You could wear --> whatever you want!!! Semi-formal, formal, cocktail, a full-on costume. Just include a masquerade mask! (Some extra masks will be provided at the venue.) It's New Orleans during spooky season. Have fun with it!!
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE: We'll have access to the first floor of the museum, but most of the party will be outdoors. Early October is typically still pretty warm here. Check the forecast! Dinner and drinks (open bar + mocktails) provided!! Food will be served buffet-style. Meat/fish and vegetarian options both included. You won't need to choose any food options in advance, but please let Liv and Dan know of any food allergies! It's a good idea to have some cash on hand to tip bands and/or tarot readers, during the party itself or at the after party. Tipping your entertainers makes New Orleans run! You're likely to be on your feet a good amount throughout the night (including for a 15 minute walk to the after-party location), so we'd advise against wearing your LEAST comfy shoes. Also, note that in the French Quarter, wearing open-toe shoes is done at your own risk* due to the infamous Street Gravy. (*Liv will, per usual, be taking that risk.)
Masquerade After Party

Following the masquerade at the Pharmacy Museum, we'll head to Frenchmen St. (Best street for live jazz, with a late-night art market.) This will be super informal, and people are free to split off/do their own thing! Liv and Dan will start at The Maison, which always has A) a band on and B) space for large groups (note: that's often standing room). Usually there's a $10 cover, which is true of most bars on Frenchman. We'll check the lineup closer to the party date! P.s. POSSIBLY the night will end with karaoke at nearby Kajun's Karaoke Bar.

Hang in Algiers Point

For those still in town Saturday, we'd love you to join us in our new neighborhood: Algiers Point! Folks can convene at our new home (415 Vallette St) around 3:30 pm! :) Drinks/mocktails provided. We will walk (10 min) to The Little House (640 Bouny St) around 5pm. Pay your own way: wine & cocktail bar with small plates, sandwiches, charcuterie, dessert. (You're also welcome to make a separate food stop! We love the Drift Inn Diner, Barracuda for tacos, and Nitehawk for pizza here!) Around 8pm, we'll head to Old Point Bar (545 Patterson Rd), our go-to dive bar! Joining for any portion = optional!! It's our hope people treat this time as a true vacation — please feel free to do + see + eat whatever's on your list here! (See recommendations under "Things To Do.") Making separate plans is A.O.K.! GETTING TO ALGIERS POINT: 1) Ferry picks up every 30 min in the French Quarter, 5 min ride, tickets $2! Download the Le Pass app! Last ferry 10:30-45; 2) by car, likely a 15-20 min drive!
