When should I RSVP by?

Please respond by July 11th if possible so we can plan accordingly.

Answer

Yes! We are registered with Amazon and Target.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Kids are certainly welcome and there will certainly be several in attendance! That being said, we would encourage you to make arrangements to attend without children if possible. The venue is 10 miles out of town, so it may not be easy to run children back to your hotel and return.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your RSVP includes "guest" then yes; however, due to strict capacity limits, please contact us BEFORE bringing a date if your RSVP did not include "guest." We'll do our best to accommodate you!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Please respond to the RSVP question regarding dietary restrictions. We will do our best to accommodate you but we must know in advance.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes there is limited parking at the base of the venue! The castle is on top of a hill with a narrow road, so the venue has a shuttle that will go back and forth between the parking lot and castle.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There will be a limo/shuttle making a couple trips between the venue and the Old Market. This has limited capacity, and will not be able to transport everyone. The venue is about 10 miles outside of Omaha, but Uber and Lyft do regularly come to the venue as well! If you are enjoying libations, please do not drink and drive. The venue allows you to leave vehicles overnight, and is a short Uber / Lyft ride back in the morning!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 5:00, we expect all guests to arrive and be seated no later than 4:45 to ensure a prompt start. The castle is on top of a hill with a narrow road so there will be a shuttle, please allow sufficient time to park and ride the shuttle. Guests who arrive after 4:45 will be asked to wait until after the ceremony to join us at the reception.

What precautions are you taking to ensure safety of attendees during the Covid-19 pandemic?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony is outdoors and the reception is in a pavilion that is open on three sides. Think outdoors but with a roof over your head! We are encouraging all guests to be fully vaccinated before the event. At the present time, if you are fully vaccinated masks will not be required since this is primarily outdoors but we would encourage any guests who feel more comfortable masked to do so. If you are NOT vaccinated, it is imperative you let us know. We will ask all unvaccinated individuals to wear masks and remain socially distanced as we have immune compromised guests. We are also encouraging guests to socially distance where possible. If you have specific safety concerns, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Can we go in the castle?!

Answer

Unfortunately no, the castle interior is strictly limited to wedding party and immediate family and will be locked during the event. But we can promise it's super cool and you'll get to see some neat photos when it's all done!

I'm ready to party (responsibly), what are my options for libations?

Answer

We will be providing a limited open bar for a couple hours following the ceremony, including beer, wine, and soda. Mixed drinks will be a cash bar only. The venue does not permit shots to limit over consumption, and does not permit any outside alcohol so please be respectful. And please, please please party responsibly. We know most of us have not had a major social event in some time, so pace yourselves! The venue will not hesitate to cut off or kick out guests who become over intoxicated.

I really hate trees, will this be a tree-free event?

No.

I have a conceal carry permit, can I bring my gun?

Answer

Absolutely not. While we respect your constitutional rights, this is a private venue and weapons are strictly forbidden on premises.
