To answer this question, we need to start with Becky's undying love for Greek gyros. For an undisclosed length of time, Becky has ordered gyros from almost every restaurant that had the courage of recreating the iconic dish - each time hoping to have found "a good one". She still gets razzed about the only time she ever sent back her food, because there was something wrong with the Feta - the family who owned the restaurant were furious, but she stuck to her guns. Ryan's undying love is with the 2008 cult classic film "Mamma Mia" - a story about a young bride who invites three men to her wedding in Greece, with the possibility of one of them being her father - set to the soundtrack of ten too many ABBA karaoke songs. Ryan has since indoctrinated Becky and Lennon into this fandom by playing the soundtrack on loop during their (DVD player-less) car rides. So while we were trying to figure out where we'd want to go on our honeymoon, Greece was the obvious frontrunner. As we did some research on this potential honeymoon destination, we stumbled on a place that captivated us, in a town we had never heard of... and we were sold. Once we found out this place did weddings too, the question arose: why don't we just get married there? After a few years of planning and one or two setbacks (pandemic, natural disasters, etc.), we are now finally able to realize this dream and ready to have another amazing adventure with just the two of us.
