We believe in a thing called love.

Matt and Lisa met at their friend Chris's comic book hero and villain themed birthday party back in August 2010 (Thanks, Chris!!). Matt was dashingly dressed as Marvel Universe hero, Tony Stark, and Lisa was DC villainess, Poison Ivy. After these characters were introduced our brave hero fell asleep amid their conversation... but this misstep it didn't seal the fate of the relationship. There was some magic there which couldn't be denied - so the Comic Book Universe colliding couple started a relationship with many adventures across state lines.

We got engaged on New Year's Eve 2016 in Downtown Northville (Matt's home town) and while the actual proposal was a success (Lisa said "Yes!", that's why you're here) the weather was not willing to cooperate with Matt's planning. It bitter wind soured the walk across down Main Street in the glow of twinkling lights, so much so that Matt had to wrap Lisa in a hug and quickly ask her to marry him before she dashed across the street to escape the cold. But fear not, hours later, after returning to the warmth of our home, Matt was able to get down on one knee and say all of the things that'd he'd been waiting for weeks to say to Lisa and ask her again to marry him (spoilers, she said "Yes" that time too).
