Vince and Lisa met when Lisa's family moved in next door to Vince's in 5th grade. They and their siblings spent summers playing outside, catching bugs, and jumping on the trampoline. They grew up going to different high schools but Vince would always come over and talk to Lisa when she was outside washing her car, or he would join her on her runs around the neighborhood.
After Lisa moved home from Tallahassee, Vince and Lisa started dating. They dated for 4 years while they grew in their careers. Vince introduced Lisa to gator hunting, and she introduced him to FSU Football. In 2015, Vince and Lisa got a puppy together, Addie whom they raised together and love very much. In 2017 Vince supported Lisa as she went overseas to study Veterinary Medicine in the Caribbean for two years. He visited her as often as he could to make things work.
Lisa was convinced that Vince wouldn’t be able to surprise her when he proposed. Their entire relationship, he would mention how he didn’t like when people got engaged on holidays. When Lisa came home from St. Kitts for Christmas break, Vince joked about buying a ring. Lisa said that they weren’t ready to be engaged and made him promise he wasn’t going to propose until she moved back to America. On Christmas Eve at Lisa’s Grandpa’s house, Vince convinced Lisa to open a present early. She opened a box of pictures with another box of pictures with another box of pictures which ended in pictures of them in 5th grade playing in the driveway. As Lisa’s family listened and spied from the next room over, Vince pulled out the ring that he had been holding onto for a year already. He opened the box upside down, but Lisa said yes anyway! We are so happy to celebrate our marriage with you this Labor day weekend and can’t wait to see everyone there!
