It was a tale as old as time, first meeting at a high-volume mortgage foreclosure law firm coming out of a recession. Getting to know each other through happy hours and group hockey games quickly allowed us to learn we had many shared interests. This turned into concert going and more shared activities, steadily growing from friendship into love. And once you learn you can quarantine together, it is all downhill from there!
We took a trip to Philadelphia and New York around July 4th. Uncle Mike (Kullen) and Aunt Kathy (Fisher) graciously agreed to watch Hunter so we could have a night out on the town, it being my birthday and first trip to Philly. We had dinner at the oldest Italian restaurant in the country and then did a little sight-seeing followed by dessert and espresso at a different Italian restaurant with cute little sidewalk bistro tables. Tony ordered two glasses of prosecco to go with our gelato and then nonchalantly placed the ring box on the table saying, "I have one more present for you." And I of course said yes.
