FAQs

The Wedding Website of Lisa Rutkowski and Rick Heitzwebel
Here are a few helpful details to make planning easy and the day even more enjoyable. If you don’t see your question here, feel free to reach out.
Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Seating will open at 5:00 PM, and the ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30 PM.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

The main, free parking lot for the Heritage Museum of Orange County is located off of W. Harvard St. in Santa Ana. The lot is situated directly in front of the museum, located at 3101 W. Harvard St., between the museum grounds and Mitchell Fundamental School.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our celebration will be entirely outdoors and will carry us into the evening, so keep the setting and the sunset in mind. The vibe is Upscale Country Western or Cocktail-Style (no jeans, please). Western-inspired details, cowboy hats, dresses, sport coats or a dress shirt with slacks (tie optional) all fit right in. Cowboy boots are very welcome; comfy shoes are encouraged — dancing is expected. The venue has a mix of dirt walkways, paved paths, a concrete dance floor and a few uneven areas, so we recommend shoes you're comfortable walking and dancing in. A light layer after dark is also a good idea.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Due to space limitations, we’re only able to accommodate those guests named on the invitation. That said, if you have someone special you’d like us to consider inviting, please feel free to reach out. If space opens up, we’d be happy to accommodate if we’re able.

Question

Will there be a way to share my photos of the day with the bride and groom?

Answer

Yes! We’ll have a simple, app-free way for guests to share photos from the day. You’ll see signs and table cards at the wedding with a QR code to scan, making it easy to upload photos in the moment or later when you're back home. We can’t wait to see the day through your eyes!

Question

I heard there is a working Blacksmith Shop on the grounds, will I get to see it?

Answer

Yes! One of the special features of the Heritage Museum of Orange County is its working blacksmith shop, which reflects the skilled trades that were essential in early Southern California communities. Blacksmiths were central to daily life, crafting and repairing tools, hardware and equipment used on farms, ranches and in town. The Blacksmith Shop exists to help preserve and pass along the 4,000 year old craft of blacksmithing. The OC Blacksmith Guild continues this tradition through live demonstrations using traditional tools and techniques. During our cocktail hour, the Blacksmith Shop will be open for guests to watch the blacksmiths in action while enjoying a drink and exploring the grounds. It’s a fun way to step back in time for a few minutes between sips and conversation.

Question

What date should I RSVP by?

Answer

Kindly RSVP by May 9, 2026 so we can finalize our plans. Thank you!

Question

What if I have dietary restrictions or food allergies?

Answer

We want everyone to enjoy the evening! All of our dinner entrees and sides are gluten-free. Vegetarian options will be available upon request. If you have additional dietary needs, please note them when you RSVP so we can do our best to accommodate.

Question

Can guests take home the flowers?

Answer

Yes! At the end of the evening, the floral centerpieces from the reception dinner tables will be available for guests who would like to take some home and enjoy them—we’d love for the flowers to continue spreading joy.
