We love hiking at this state park that's a quick drive from our home. Trails rec: Sals Branch Trail & Reedy Creek Lake Multiuse Trail
You're going to drive to this sketchy strip mall and wonder where the heck you are, but tucked behind the shopping center is this sweet lil patisserie with the best baked goods (sweet and savory) you'll ever find. You won't regret it. Foods recs: literally anything; the menu rotates but you can't go wrong.

Massive farmers market in Raleigh with everything from produce, plants, baked goods, local crafts, etc. They also have a restaurant that will give you biscuits the size of your face and it just melts in your mouth.
The best Korean fried chicken in town. Also located in a sketchy strip mall across from La Recette and is more of a to-go place rather than sit-in. Food recs: soy garlic wings with spring onion & side of kimchi
