Town Website
This website does a great job of compiling a lot of the highlights the quaint town of Sleepy Hollow has to offer. If you're a fan of Halloween (like Lisa is!) or visiting literary sites, this website details the real-life locations of Ichabod Crane's travels in the classic tale, "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow". It also has a lot of great restaurant recommendations and local historical sites.
Kykuit, the Rockefeller Estate
From the website: "Kykuit was home to four generations of the Rockefeller family, beginning with the philanthropist John D. Rockefeller, founder of Standard Oil. His business acumen made him, in his day, the richest man in America. Now a historic site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, this extraordinary landmark has been continuously and meticulously maintained for more than 100 years."
Rockefeller State Park Preserve
The Hudson Valley in the fall has some of the most beautiful scenery. The Rockefeller State Park Preserve nearby has a lot of great hiking trails and we recommend visiting if you have the chance!
Farmer's Market
8:30 to 2:00 pm Saturday. From the website: Fresh Hudson Valley produce, meat, bread, honey, specialty foods, cut flowers, dairy products, beer and wine. There is occasionally live music or demonstrations of traditional crafts. Route 9 (Broadway) next to the Warner Library. Free parking across the street at John Paulding School.

Main Street has a lot of great restaurants and window shopping. We recommend browsing through the local stores or grabbing a coffee!
