March 15, 2017 As with any great romance story, it all started with a right swipe... Given their busy work schedules, it took a few weeks to find a date and time to meet. When they finally did, Lisa had to cancel because she came down with the "flu.” When she finally felt better, the first date was at a wine bar in NYC where, in addition to providing general charm and good company, Jeremy serenaded Lisa with a few verses of his preferred karaoke song, Rich Girl by Hall & Oates. After that rendition, Lisa knew she had found someone truly special.

October 22, 2017 It is no secret that Lisa has wanted a dog since she moved to New York City in 2013. To Lisa’s surprise, the weekend before Jeremy’s 33rd birthday, he decided he would take a look with Lisa at the ASPCA – but for a cat, not a dog. Lisa thought that was a little odd because … what guy wants a cat? But she was not going to question him because at that point she would love whatever animal she could get. Lisa and Jeremy found a sweet 2 year old female cat named Latte, but wanted to take the night to think about it. They discussed later that night and decided a cat would be a good addition to both their lives. They got up early and were the first ones in line at the ASPCA the next morning to pick up Latte, only to find out she was adopted 15 minutes before closing the night before. Lisa and Jeremy were devastated. But the stars aligned and Jeremy and Lisa were told the ASPCA had just gotten a new cat in, who Jeremy and Lisa took one look at and immediately fell in love with. Franklin (named after the baseball batting gloves or Street in Chapel Hill, NC, depending on who you are asking; middle name "Pants") is the best addition to our little family and we could not imagine our lives without the little butthead in it.

February 1, 2019 After enjoying their usual Friday night Seamless delivery meal (pizza with pepperoni and ricotta from their favorite nearby pizza spot, Patsy's), Lisa wanted to settle in with a good movie. While she looked through Netflix, Jeremy retreated to the bedroom to "change into comfier clothes" (aka, retrieve the ring from his sock drawer). Upon returning to the living room, he enlisted his wingman Franklin for the big moment. And wingman he did - Jeremy handed Franklin to Lisa, where he promptly threw a fit, jumped out of her arms and ran away. Distracted by trying to get Franklin back onto the couch, Lisa did not notice Jeremy had gone down to one knee. But when she did, her response was a resounding "yes!" FaceTime calls were had and champagne was popped. Lisa forgot about watching the movie. Franklin did not seem to care one way or the other.
