Not sure it get's much more cliché than a couple of Brits meeting over fish and chips at the pub - but that's how we met! While enjoying our fish and chips, Adrian asked me if I would want to go to a UB40 concert. After a lot of red red wine, here we are 5 years later getting married. Best fish and chips ever!
February 7th, 2020 we are headed over to Maui for a vacation to celebrate my recovery from a tough surgery. We arrived at the hotel and our room wasn't quite ready so we hit the hotel bar for some wings (best wings ever!) and a piña colada. We were eating and enjoying watching the Portland Trailblazers basketball game. Adrian turns to me and asks "want to go for a walk?" My response "um not yet, I want to watch the game." A few minutes later, he asked again. Never have I known Adrian to be so keen to go on a walk :) After the game finishes, we walk along the beach under the moonlight and sit and watch the stars, listening to the ocean. I'm playing on Adrian's phone (he has an app which tells you the names of the stars and planets as you hold the phone up to the sky) and he pulls out a gorgeous ring from his bag and asks me to marry him. I guess the moral of the story, if Adrian asks to go on a walk, I should absolutely say yes :)
